Ethos was founded by Carmen McElfresh and MaLesa Reese, two experienced, knowledgeable, compassionate, and skilled professionals dedicated to the well-being of children with speech-language and learning disorders and their families and schools.
MaLesa and Carmen sought a dynamic, respected school psychologist to join them in leading the company and found the ideal person, Nate Kindig, a bright, engaging educational professional who shares the Ethos values, vision, and commitment to excellence.
MaLesa has almost four decades of experience treating and caring for children with speech-language and learning challenges. She is a respected leader in both speech pathology and education, having trained, mentored, and inspired hundreds of young speech pathologists.

Carmen has been serving as an innovative leader in speech-language pathology for more than two decades. She has extensive experience in therapy services, family and caregiver education, patient satisfaction, and clinical assessment, among many other responsibilities.
Nate has spent a decade helping families become advocates for their children’s education. Fluent in Spanish and English, he has used clinical assessment, counseling, and consultation to foster understanding and hope for parents and teachers when students face challenges in school and at home.
